Farshad
M. Ahadian, M.D.
Farshad Ahadian, M.D. is currently an Associate
Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of California,
San Diego School of Medicine and is part of the staff of the Center
for Pain and Palliative Medicine at UCSD. He is board certified
in Pain Management, Anesthesia and Medical Acupuncture. He has been
involved in the management of acute, chronic and cancer pain since
1994. Prior to joining the UCSD Pain Management Medical Group in
1999 he established the Pain Management Clinic at David Grant Medical
Center at Travis Air Force Base. A practicing medical acupuncturist,
Farshad has been a clinical instructor for the UCLA Medical Acupuncture
for Physicians program since 1996. He also pursues original research
in pain medicine and is in the process of developing an experimental
pain model for studying acupuncture analgesia.
Dr. Ahadian received his medical degree from
St. Louis University School of Medicine and his anesthesiology training
at Wilford Hall Medical Center. He is currently affiliated with
UCSD Thornton Hospital in La Jolla and UCSD Medical Center Hillcrest.
